Lionsgate has formally announced that The Divergent Series: Allegiant, the third of four films in the Divergent Series film universe, will first be available to own at home on June 21st exclusively on Digital HD. The Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and DVD versions are scheduled for release on July 12th.
Additionally, Lionsgate is beefing up their 4K UHD catalog by also releasing the original Divergent and its sequel, The Divergent Series: Insurgent, on the new 4K format day-and-date with The Divergent Series: Allegiant.
Robert Schwentke directs The Divergent Series: Allegiant with Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Jeff Daniels, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Zoë Kravitz, Maggie Q, Ray Stevenson, Bill Skarsgård, Octavia Spencer and Naomi Watts comprising the core cast. The film series is based off the books of the same name by author Veronica Roth.
