Star Wars: The Force Awakens Blu-ray and DVD Release Date Confirmed by Amazon (Updated)

The Force will be strong this spring as online retailer Amazon.com has confirmed (date removed by request of Disney) release date for Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Blu-ray and DVD.

This release date has been floating around since late last year after an overseas retailer published it. As is often the case with early release date reveals, they are extremely subject to change and oftentimes end up different than what is planned when the film hits theaters.

In this case the (date removed) appearing on Amazon.com for the Blu-ray and DVD listings of Star Wars: The Force Awakens is on the money. It might be a few more weeks until we get the official announcement with bonus features, a full rundown of numerous confirmed deleted scenes and more. At least you’ll know when Episode VII will hit your Blu-ray or DVD player.

If you haven’t pre-ordered Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Blu-ray or DVD yet, what are you waiting for? Make J.J. Abrams, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and the rest of the cast and crew proud.

Pre-order Star Wars: The Force Awakens Pre-order Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD combo at Amazon.com for under $20.

Pre-order Star Wars: The Force Awakens Pre-order Star Wars: The Force Awakens on DVD at Amazon.com (the combo pack above is a much better deal).

Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Blu-ray is currently the top selling Blu-ray title at Amazon.com. As an added bonus, expect the cover art to mirror the one-sheet poster seen on Amazon.com.
