The Fifth Element 4K

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has confirmed Luc Besson’s The Fifth Element 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and LEON: The Professional 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray are coming this summer.

Both Luc Besson classics will make their 4K UHD debuts on July 11th with Dolby Atmos audio to coincide with this summer’s release of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. The caveat is that LEON will be a Best Buy exclusive while The Fifth Element, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, will be available at all major retailers.

All bonus features from the previously released Blu-ray versions of each Luc Besson film will be ported over to the 4K, Blu-ray and Digital HD combo packs with the inclusive Blu-ray Disc.

Additionally an all-new bonus feature titled ‘The Director’s Notes: Luc Besson Looks Back’ has been shot in 4K and will be available on The Fifth Element 4K UHD Disc.
