    Your information is inaccurate…

I need to know when it comes out!!!!

    • August 22nd i.e. next Tuesday

Please say it does! I love the movie and the comedy in it is great! The bond and story between Yondu and Quill is amazing and Ego? Interesting character

Yes, that’s it, less than a week.
The digital has been available for a week + now.
IF you are a 4K UHD streaming fan it was confirmed last week that it is available on VUDU in 4K UHD. Disney’s first.
They are still working out the Disney Movie Rewards (people that purchased it in UHD had it appear in their Disney Movies Anywhere account but they didn’t get any points for it (unlike the HDX version) does when purchased early on these streaming sites.

One will assume that this is just a small over site on Disney’s part being that there was some last minute concerns when Disney spokes person’s tried to BACK TRACK a few weeks ago saying that UHD may not be a part of streaming. It seems there was a BACKLASH of contacts with Disney CS because that directly contradicted earlier press releases and in the END DISNEY did the right thing as made 4K UHD streaming a reality for the first time. Hopefully the same will be true for the Digital Copies included with the 4K UHD Blu-ray versions (??Should?? give “4K UHD” Digital Copies) but I’m sure not going to be among the first to try redeeming until it’s been reported what people are getting. I do not envy Disney C.S. if those 4K UHD Blu-ray editions don’t also redeem as 4K UHD on streaming sites that support it.
I can wait, Vudu ran a 25% off code this past weekend and that plus Vudu credits made the HDX version too cheap to pass up for me.

In case anyone is wondering, the Extras are already included in Vudu I haven’t been around to Google Play, I-Tunes & Amazon to see which other sites have them. Amazon unfortunately doesn’t give separate tiles you can click on they just loop them all at the end of the main movie feature so you have to know how long each segment is to be able to jump & verify if all of them are there (much easier on other Vudu – & – as mentioned I haven’t checked I-Tunes yet.)

Tuesday August 22nd less than a week from this posting.

My other comment is still pending, although comments made afterwards have already posted so I’ll assume it’s not going to post and I’ll simplify what I wrote.

The inaccurate things in this post are about the 3D version.
In the U.S. there will be only ONE version of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 that has 3D and that is the Best Buy Steelbook which includes the 4K Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, and 2D Blu-ray as well as Digital Copy.
These steelbooks have long since sold out for Pre-order. There is a chance that a few will surface at release so if you want the 3D U.S. version that is your ONLY OPTION.

There is NO other U.S. 3D Version, no stand alone, no Walmart, No Target, No Amazon version for the U.S. release. Best Buy has an exclusive and will only be a limited supply.

I went on to explain however that Europe WILL as per usual get a 3D Blu-ray + 2D Blu-ray Stand Alone edition of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2. So you can still import that version albeit with NO Digital Copy. You can save a lot of money by waiting for the next or if it isn’t eligible for the next Zavvi Disney 3D sale then the one after the next for the U.K. import. The savings can be quite significant when buying 2 Disney 3D U.K. imports directly from Zavvi or Amazon U.K (because they copy Zavvi’s deal). Two 3D Blu-rays (that also include the 2D Blu-rays in the case) arrive all said and done for around ~$20-$22 including shipping the fluctuation depends on what the current US Dollar to GBP exchange rate is at the time and whether you use a CC with No Fee for Foreign exchange (many cards do this now so contact your CC company if you don’t know whether yours does or not).

Why are you not posting my messages?

    • For whatever reason Disqus made me manually approve them and I just noticed that. They’re there!

      • Jolene Love

They don’t seem to have posted though.

I see (two) the reply to CrAzYPikachu & then the post above “Why are you not posting my messages?” – sorry for assuming it was you and not Disqus!.

However, there were two other posts that were made that are gone. They were pretty long posts but I was trying to help out those that will be looking for the 3D version but will be disappointed.

          So…it won’t be available on 3D Bluray??

          • Jolene Love

I doubt I can post the direct link to it w/o getting marked as Spam again, here is the SKU: 5904801 for the ONLY version in the United States that came with a 3D Blu-ray it was only available as part that steelbook. It sold out most places the first day, some came back in stock a few days ago but currently it’s showing in-store only.

You can still get the 3D version ordering it overseas. That was info I included in those two posts that got marked spam. It’s not super expensive right now, but if you are patient and wait for them to go on sale you can get them for less. I import Disney, Marvel, Pixar 3D movies from the United Kingdom for around $10-$12 EACH in U.S. dollars. They get much better sales over there. Zavvi or Amazon U.K. – Zavvi is better packaged and cheaper shipping but usually takes a little longer. Amazon slightly more expensive and not packed well for overseas movies but they tend to arrive sooner.

In Canada Best Buy has exclusive rights and are also sold out due to limited pre order copies. “Exclusive rights” does not make sense to me. Terribly annoying.

          • Jolene Love

If you are referring to the Steelbooks and 3D, that is true in the U.S. as well. I just checked today and they have removed the purchase option listing the 4K/3D2D + Digital HD Steelbook page as Out of Stock and they removed most of the page.

          • Sean Nephilim Sellards

I cant believe they would release the movie this way. So this will be the only MCU movie I own in 2d cause marvel is fucking stupid.

          • Jolene Love

If you are 3D fan, as I mentioned in the other posts (some of which failed to make it live) there will be sales for the 3D version from the UK. Zavvi has a 3D sale a few times a year, we should be pretty close to the next one. No telling if GOTG V2 will be included as it is brand new but if not, it will likely be eligible the next sale. And Amazon UK glomms all their deals so they will likely have it as well just for a bit more.

Since you own the 2D already you can sell or trade off the 2D disc that comes in the UKs packaging (3D + 2D) and recoup a little that way as well.

Disney can be endlessly frustrating with their money grab machine, if enough people stopped buying into their inflated pricing tactics things might change but that is never going to happen so at least we have over seas to help us out.

just wanted to make it clearer that the 4K – 3D – 2D Blu-ray steelbook that the 3D Blu-ray was part of is a Limited edition so 99.98 percent% of the copies are sold. Last night (8-28-2017) was the very last night for Pre-order people to have picked up their order so if anyone was crazy or you know got into a car accident or otherwise wasn’t available to go get their movies those few copies will return to the buying pool but very soon they will all be gone. I supposed technically there is still the 14/15 day return period and for elite members the 30, or 60 days whatever they get now before it will officially be dead but for most people it’s too late.

    One (probably last) update.
Disney has (reversed) their position and now the Digital Codes from the 4K-UHD/3D2D Steelbook and 4K-UHD/2D plastic clam shell package are NOW as of 9-9-2017 redeeming as UHD when you redeem on Disney’s site.
=DON’T REDEEM THROUGH PARTNER’S SITES (like Vudu,Google,i-Tunes,Microsoft) redeem them directly on Disney’s site.
IF you redeemed a Digital Copy from the 4K Blu-ray packs BEFORE 9-9-2017 contact Disney Movies Anywhere about it.
