The psychological thriller Foxcatcher from director Bennett Miller and starring Channing Tatum, Steve Carell and Mark Ruffalo will be coming to Digital HD, Blu-ray and DVD on a March 3, 2015 release date.
Foxcatcher is based on the real-life story of Olympic gold medal-winning wrestler Mark Shultz. It was nominated for Best Motion Picture Drama, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor at the Golden Globes. More recently, Foxcatcher picked up five Academy Award nominations including Best Director (Bennett), Best Actor (Carell) and Best Supporting Actor (Ruffalo).
Sony is bringing Foxcatcher to Blu-ray in 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. The Blu-ray release is a combo pack that also includes the film on Digital HD. A standalone DVD version will also be released.
Foxcatcher bonus features are on the light side but should hopefully fulfill. They include a handful of deleted scenes and the all-new featurette, ;’The Story of Foxcatcher,’ a “behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film with Director Bennett Miller, Steve Carell and Channing Tatum.”
