Director Ridley Scott’s Exodus: Gods and Kings starring Christian Bale, Joel Edgerton, Sigourney Weaver, Aaron Paul and Ben Kingsley will make its Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD debut on a release date of March 17, 2015.
Exodus: Gods and Kings is based on the story of Moses and his rise against the Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses. The film cost an estimated $140 million produce and underachieved domestically at the box office with $64.6 million to date. However, as is becoming more the norm than the exception these days, international business has driven the worldwide box office gross to nearly $260 million.
In an unusual marketing move, Fox is pushing the Blu-ray 3D version of Exodus: Gods and Kings in a collector’s edition set that includes exclusive supplemental material not found on the standard Blu-ray combo pack. Before I spell those out below, know that Exodus: Gods and Kings in high definition will include a 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio mix.
