‘Deepwater Horizon’ Digital HD Release Complimented by 360-Degree VR Commentary App

Deepwater Horizon VR

Director Peter Berg’s explosive Deepwater Horizon film starring Mark Wahlberg has just made its Digital HD debut with a physical disc release slated for early next year. To compliment its Digital release, Lionsgate Home Entertainment and developer SubVRsive have rolled out the Deepwater Horizon VR Experience app adding a new dimension to home video commentaries.

Starting immediately you can download the Deepwater Horizon VR Experience app from the Apple App Store or Google Play for no charge whatsoever. With the app you can watch a 360-degree commentary from Peter Berg and the film’s editor, Colby Parker Jr., for three more complex scenes from the film.

The first scene with 360-degree commentary will be immediately available to anyone who downloads the free app. The two additional scenes will only unlock when the app detects you own the Digital HD version of Deepwater Horizon.

You can experience the Deepwater Horizon VR Experience without any kind of VR device, but it will be enhanced by utilizing a device such as Google Cardboard.
