Caesar will do anything to protect his apes family, even if that means going to war. This emotional stance is perfectly reflected in menacing exclusive packaging of the upcoming Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: Caesar’s Warrior Collection Blu-ray set from Fox Home Entertainment.
Online retailer Amazon.com has begun taking pre-orders for the Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD versions of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes from director Matt Reeves with one added wrinkle, the inclusion of the Caesar’s Warrior Collection. This massive Blu-ray collection includes not only two discs worth of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD, but an additional two discs of Rise of the Planet of the Apes on Blu-ray and DVD for four discs total.
Exclusive to the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: Caesar’s Warrior Collection Blu-ray is a Caesar bust whose outer box dimensions are 12″ wide by 11.5″ deep by 14.5″ tall, a 32-page “Planet of the Apes: Building an Icon” booklet, and four ape character cards.
The list price on this set is a steep $129.99, but Amazon is accepting pre-orders at $79.99. It’s sure to be a hot gift at the holidays. Amazon also has the more traditional Dawn of the Planet of the Apes Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD combo up for pre-order at $22.99.
It will be at least a few more weeks before we know when Fox will debut Dawn of the Planet of the Apes on home video. The Dawn of the Planet of the Apes Blu-ray release date will be relayed on to you as soon as we know where it lands.
